How to Detail Faded Paint by Hand (Paint Correction)

Learn how to detail a car with faded, scratched, paint. I will show you how to do paint correction by hand, how to remove swirl marks, how to restore faded trim, how to restore headlights, and finally how to fix sun damaged paint. I got this car for $500 and it wasn't running and was super dirty. Now the car runs and looks dripping wet!

  • Hopefully you guys like the video! It's basically 4-5 videos in one with tons of info on how to get your car clean! So we can avoid the same comments over and over, check the description for all the links! Also, yes, ChrisFish is me, and not an impostor. It is my second channel I will start this year for when I go fishing, which I love to do. It is my way of still "working" and not feeling bad about going out fishing instead of filming, editing, or answering comments. Now I can do both! Here is the detailing products I used: Ceramic Coating: avl.kg/ceramiccoating Compound: amzn.to/2UboLg7 Polish: amzn.to/3adde5g Wax/Sealant: amzn.to/2U9nMwF Buffing Microfiber Pad: amzn.to/33K0NvC

    • @ChrisFix admittedly yes, I'm just used to using much less but then my car isn't in such bad condition but it just did seem a large amount of polish etc. I was taught a little goes a long way but as I commented you can't argue with the results. Please don't feel I'm attempting to say it's wrong

  • Honest question. For an average man. How long does it take to compound, polish and wax a whole car by hand?

  • For headlights. Ive tried many kits and methods and whats worked best for me is a meguire’s head light kit from autozone. The $30 one that comes with a drill buffing pad.

  • I'm picking up a 98 Durango that has electrical issues tomorrow for $200. The electrical issues are that the car starts sometimes, doesn't start sometimes. What would be your first step in diagnosing what to first do with the car? Getting this vehicle to be my daily so my wife can have the new car for her and the kids. Also subbed right away. 😁

  • Okay I have to say this. When he clear coated the lens on the PT cruiser it lead to a lot of people messing up there lights because at night the lights given off by the lights would get really blurry due to Light getting distorted by the clear coat on the plastic lens. Seeing him seal the lens after the sanding and polishing was a big step up and I can appreciate that.

  • This video is RIGHT on time. Bought an all black car and it has swirl marks & looks a little faded. Black or dark paint is the hardest to maintain IMO because of how easy it is to see imperfections in the sunlight so it is essential when detailing it is done correctly. I will definitely be giving this a GO. Thanks Chris.
